CAPABLE horse rider
Warregold Stock Horse Stud has in excess of 60 registered Australian Stock Horses. All with bloodlines selected on heritage, temperament, and performance. Warregold horses are used in a range of disciplines. They are bred & prepared for entry level yearling sales & shows, to competitive campdrafting & challenges. Warregold horses are best known for being “all rounders” having the ability for competition, stock work or just for leisure riding, all with no fuss.
Seeking a fit, motivated person to join our stud as a capable rider. Must be able to handle and ride green horses and get them going. Would be expected to have the ability and physical stamina to ride a given number of horses (on average 8-15 daily). Horses will be at different training stages, with different abilities aged 18 months - 7 year old. Confidence and experience dealing with various behaviours of horses is a necessity.
This position is not or a ‘want to be trainer’ or horse ‘f***er’
Maintenance of facilities, yards, paddocks, and equipment is also a mandatory requirement of the position.
Remuneration package negotiable. Initially contract basis, however ongoing for a suitable candidate.
